B2B Tech Account Director / Senior Account Director

My client, a dynamic, employee-owned PR agency specializing in B2B communications with a strong focus on technology sectors are looking for an experienced Account Director / Senior Account Director to join their growing team.

With a small but highly skilled team, they have cultivated a collaborative and innovative culture this agency thrives on strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to drive meaningful impact for their clients.

  • Level: Account director / Senior Account Director 

  • Location: London - Hybrid (Flexible Working with Team Days on Mondays & Thursdays)

  • Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (Dependent on Experience)

This is a strategic hire aimed at stabilising and fostering growth within our team, with a strong emphasis on leadership, mentorship, and client development. As an Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing junior team members, embedding best practices, and strengthening client relationships. Working across a range of sectors including; Adtech. Financial Services, Fintech. Retail, Logistics and IT Services. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership, helping to shape and guide the development of the PR team.

  • Lead client accounts with a focus on delivering exceptional results and showcasing commercial value.

  • Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring best practices are embedded across account management.

  • Drive new business opportunities by nurturing existing leads and expanding client relationships.

  • Lead pitch processes and preparing core assets with minimal senior oversight.

  • Balance time effectively: approximately 60% on client work and team management, and 40% on business development and agency growth.

  • Operate with agility, managing multiple projects while adapting to shifting priorities.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to shape the agency’s strategic direction.

What They’re Looking For:

  • An established Account Director with at least 6-12 months of experience at this level.

  • A strong background in PR and communications, ideally within a B2B and technology-focused environment.

  • A commercially minded professional who understands client objectives and can effectively communicate value.

  • Experience in leading teams, mentoring junior colleagues, and driving best practices.

  • A proactive and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead new business pitches, manage proposals, and oversee the RFP process independently.

  • Emotional intelligence, collaborative leadership, and the confidence to be assertive when needed.
